does anyone make a replacement window glass that is 1 full piece to eliminate the vent windows for an 85 GMC? i have seen them for the 67-72 models, and they look great.

$700 for two windows isn't actually that bad, when you consider it's $400 for one replacement vent window from LMC. It would cost more to replace both vent windows and all the window tracks for both doors, then it would to put the one piece windows in. That of coarse is if you need to replace the vents, I do, that is why I'm considering the one piece windows, and even the rear glass they have.

I will wait until i get some other things done before i jump on the 1 piece windows. I really like the design and the fit. No more vent window noise

Seriously? Exactly how much would you expect t pay for a kit that includes two custom made windows, all the channel, brackets and etc to make them work. Oh yeah, and several thousands of dollars in R&D costs to get the kit to the market. The asking price of 700.00 isn't cheap, but I think it a dran good deal considering what is involved.

Re: 1 piece glass

i agree - it is a good price, i would rather put the 700 into a drop of some kind and some wheels first and do windows later when paint time arrives

Re: 1 piece glass

I recall the vent windows closer to 180-190 per side. As far as the quality, the pictures of the door window channel looks cheap and poo-ish... it gets glued on... i mean if you dont put your arm on it, it might not fall off... just my opinion on the pictures ive seen.

May want to recheck your info, LMC has them for $400. When GM offered them, last one I sold was $380, and stopped buying them.

Replacements are available from OPP. No "glass" company will have them.

The scrapers on the 73-87's have clips on them as of the latest revision. They aren't glued on, so they aren't going to fall off.
