bagged 1970 gmc

ive got a 1970 gmc i working on as project and ive got some ?s

this is 1st truck i am tryin 2 bag im not looking 2 set the frame on the ground but would like it low can i just put bags in place of all the coil springs? cnotch the frame

7111127... that is exactly how you want to bag your truck as it is the simplist of installs. The easiest would be to replace the springs with bags, bolt in a c-notch and use schrader valves to air up the bags. When time/money allows add an air management system (lines, compressor, tank, valves, etc.) and you're set.

I had the same plan but then I said screw it let's lay this one on the ground. But if I would of gone the other route I never would of stripped my truck down ALL the way but it would of already been on the road though!!

do i need 2 get drop drop spindles along with bagging it or can i just put a bag in and get the same drop?

The spindles will give you as much as the spindles give. So a 2" drop spindle will be 2" lower.

My '69 was 4 bags, 8 valves, single comp, single tank, and 7 switches. I didn't notch the frame, but that would have gotten my truck about 3" or more in the back than this picture.



<edit> I had 2" (or 2.5?) drop spindles with front discs, also.

Drop spindles will bring you just that much lower...
