68 Chevy Slant back wrecker
I am going to look at this tomorrow. 350/th350, runs and drives good, new 10 ton winch, good rubber, new brakes. Some rust in the rockers (has new ones not installed) and a couple holes in the floor. Roof is good, so is bed and ramps. The owner is still using it from time to time. Under $3000.00
How rare are these? Only seen a couple. This would be very cool to haul our trucks around. Any input would be helpful. Thanks, Reno

Re: 68 Chevy Slant back wrecker
I saw that on CL and thought it seemed like a reasonable price.

Re: 68 Chevy Slant back wrecker
Any opinions or info on these? Did Chevy build them or just sold Cab-Chassis to fab shops. Should I look for something in the VIN or SPID that would tell me what it is...other than the normal ID #?
Does anybody have one or pic's? I need info tonight if anyone can help. Thanks Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 68 Chevy Slant back wrecker
Cool truck! I don't think Chevy built them, they just sold cab and chassis and the "ramp" was added. If you pass, let me know as I might be interested.

Re: 68 Chevy Slant back wrecker
That seems like a great deal. Look at how the frame was stretched. Look for rust from possible areas that held water/grit. These were shop-built by individuals and there were some shops that got to be known for nice jobs. The leader is: www.hodgescustomhaulers.com
