hello...newb from oregon.

first off i'd like to say that i see myself spending A LOT of time on here, this seems to be a great site with lotsa info!!!!

ok now with the info.

my name is John, mid 30's, been addicted to anything with wheels and an engine since i was born. my father has been responsible for that i guess! he's a hotrodder and has been since he could drive so that kinda sets the tone if you know what i mean. (he has a *****in 62 impala that i will be responsible for some day) pretty much been a man my whole life; as soon as i figure out how to post pics you'll see how much of a man i am. well exept for a couple jeeps. (a boy has always gotta play in the rough stuff i guess!) any ways...

THE PROJECT: 59 chevy swb
THE LIST: the body will remain basicly stock, with a few minor mods. the front susp. is either gonna roll a 83 jaguar clip or a 75 camaro clip. air bags front/rear (gonna try the jag first; if that turns sour then i'll lob it off an go camaro. i have both) the rear is the same year camaro settin on 68(or69) can't remember, swing arm setup with pan hard bar. the power from the 92 BIG BLOCK 454 will run through a 700r4 already rebuilt and settin in a big plastic bag under the shop bench. then a new wire harness will be ordered. will be trying to either buy a fuel tank/cell or have a local guy build it for me to mount under the bed. i kinda like the local hotrodder idea, that way i can get a nice maximum sized tank to fit the way i might need it to for clearance issues.

i'm new to this "build it from scratch" kinda thing so i'm sure i'll be on here quit a bit, i'm sorry for all the ?'s i'll be asking in the future!. well thanks for lettin me ramble on, guess it's time to flip through my latest "custom classic trucks" mag. before i head to dream land! you guys got some sweet rides! it gets me dreamin!!!
