Re: Wierd Find...Hillbilly Limo?
I could haul a lot of girlfriends in that. Of course they or their boyfriends would want nothing to do with SOM, so I'd better pass.

...and one for sale: http://lacrosse.craigslist.org/cto/1393654487.html
"I am posting this for my dad. He bought a 1960 Chevrolet Armbruster Stageway Limo several years ago. He just hasn't had the finances or ability to put it back together. Since he has too many projects, he has asked me to list it. It does not have a motor or tranny. He does have a bill of sale, no title. He is asking 2500.00 obo. Transporting is up to the buyer. I have attached a couple of pics, and have more. Thank you! Location: Tomah, WI" |

Re: Wierd Find...Hillbilly Limo?
I wouldn't mind getting one and cutting it down to a 4(3) door.. a more practical family suburban.

Re: Wierd Find...Hillbilly Limo?
This is my first reply to a thread on this forum and I have to be honest, Me and my entire family have chevy vehicles swimming through our blood but I only joined to ask about this limo, at least for the time being. I realize that this thread is two years old but I NEED one of these vehicles. Could anyone hook me up with an address or phone number to where this limo is located? That is, if it's still there. If not, I would be insanely appreciative if anyone has info on another one around this price range. Thanks a lot guys, and I'm glad to have found another reason to finally join. My grandfather had one for a short time and my father fell in love with it. My two brothers and I are going to buy one and paint it the same color for his birthday. My entire family is in on it and it would mean a lot to him!!

It's in Minnesota. Been a while since I was there, but will google for a bit and get an exact location and phone number.

Re: Wierd Find...Hillbilly Limo?
Here's one that just popped up on craigslist in Sacramento. Seems like a good price too, $7400.
http://sacramento.craigslist.org/cto/2244269950.html "Chevy suburban has 350 engine runs good, power brakes ,power steering,4 bench seats is rated for 18 passangers, has 5th door, needs total interior redo".

Re: Wierd Find...Hillbilly Limo?
Back in the 60's the Jordan Bus Line that operated in Eastern Oklahoma ran those on their routes. Their business activity was not large enough to warrant full size buses. I've oftern wonder what became of all those vehicles.
