Junction box Purpose ??????????????
This part ( The JUNCTION BOX) on my 82, the small pin has a wire that goes to the blower motor. The one that was on there was evidently burnt and ALL the wires were attached on the one pin. I got one off of a junk truck but no power goes through it from the larger pin(The POWER PIN) to the smaller pin ( The Blower Motor Power). The blower motor does not work now. Is this also a fused link for the the power to the blower motor.

No there's not a link between the posts. There should have been a terminal on one of the wires that had two rings on it that transfered power to both posts.

Heres a pic of the terminal I found. You can see where it jumps both terminals.

do you know where you can order one of those terminal jumpers. My fuseable line blew and i had to build my own jumper out of wire.

Re: Junction box Purpose ??????????????
Thanks that picture answered alot of questions, now I have another
The wire there that is attached to the firewall, that evidently goes to the transmission. Do I have to have the vacuum thing that is in that wiring harness or can I just run that wire from the kickdown on the accelerator pedal straight to the sender on the side of the transmission

Re: Junction box Purpose ??????????????
Im not sure what you mean by "kickdown on the accereator pedal". The vacuum switch on the firewall unlocks the converter when the vacuum signal to it drops. I would leave this wired in. It works good the way it is. If not, you can wire up a toggle switch for the converter, but make sure you leave the brake switch wired in so your truck won't die when you stop if you forget flip the switch off.
