Well that bellhousing is an old one. I got one like it from an old straight 6 chevy in a truck. As for tranny I'm nto sure other then it's a 4 speed. Maybe muncie? I got a saginaw and it looks alot different.

I would say that is the GM version of a New Process A833. If it is a four speed, has overdrive, and a Hurst shifter, that would confirm my guess.
Hurst can rebuild your shifter and I think they still have the rubber bushings for the shift linkage. |

I'll second the A833 vote. That doesn't look anything like the m22 muncie in my truck.

Re: Name that transmission...inside please
I'm pretty sure its not a muncie. It IS a four speed, I dont believe its a hurst shifter unless its been changed out, it doen not have a low first gear either. I will look for the A833 online to see if I can find anything else, thanks. Any other suggestions would be great!!

Re: Name that transmission...inside please
If it is a factory Hurst shifter it will only say Hurst on the face outside face of the shifter body, the linkages in the pics look like a Hurst shifter.

I know that this is an old post and I am wondering if you have figured out what you were going to do with this truck ?
