Look at this very impressive '63 GMC Suburban I saw this weekend

This truck was at the Mecum auction in Kansas City this weekend. It sold for $16,500. I just thought it was awesome. All three seats had their original Custom material. The Custom trim was all there. The plaid valve covers were on the GMC V6. I mean, how could you not be impressed with this thing?

WOW that is awesome. I saw one last year at a show that was almost that nice. At $16,500, that seems like a good deal to me, when you consider what the seller must have had into it.

That thing is sweet! You couldn't build/restore it for that.

Oh man that is gorgeous! I love the deep set steelies with the factory hubcaps and trim rings. It's put my thinking cap on.

I agree, that's probably cheap. A lot depends on it's history. Do the math starting with what a decent restoration candidate sells for, add to that the cost of engine work, body and paint, interior, chrome, and then labor. No way you could duplicate what that truck appears to be for anywhere near that amount. Then, if you take into account that originality cannot be duplicated at any cost,
you are waaay under the money. But in the end, obviously, it's only worth what someone else will pay.
