May be obvious to most of you, but if you have no title and also can't find or read the VIN, its definately a parts truck. Can't even get the bonded title without a VIN. Looks like my truck just became a parts truck...

I have no title on mine, and its no way a parts truck. Just can't sell it to you title state people.

You can in Iowa, but it gets assigned a new VIN # and is considered a 2011 "custom".

I don't see why you couldn't sell it. I have bought and sold quite a few vehicles in Texas with a bill of sale. It depends on what the buyer wants to do with the truck. If they plan to use it for other than parts, and want to register it for road use, they would have to go through the process to get a title.
