what are these???
changed valve cover gaskets yesterday. and while i was hosing down the engine bay. i was wondering what some of these things were??
i noticed a line that goes into carb had a little hole in it on the bottom side. never touched it before so i didnt notice. but that was one of the first things i touched. and when i touched it, i felt water, or so i thought. pulled it off carb and noticed it was swollen and gas was leaking thru. i traced the line and it went into a round canester looking thing on driver side. below the lights. dont know what it is. so i looked around and took a couple pics of things i was unsure about. obviously im no mechanic. and lack much knowledge. thanks for any help. |

Re: what are these???
Someone else can correct me if I'm wrong:
1. Charcoal canister for fuel. 2. Appears to be part of your cruise control, if you have it? 3. Looks like your wiper motor. 4. ???

Re: what are these???
that thing in picture three is your wiper motor... and the round ball is part of the vacuum for your cruise control.. the charcoal cannister takes fumes from the gas tank and vents em o ut for you

Re: what are these???
I believe #4 is your air pump, for the exhaust emissions

Re: what are these???
your squirter pump for your wippers is mounted to the backside of the wiper fluid resivor and if the switch is broke thats a good reson it dosnt work but the pump probly has corroded and dosnt work ether

Re: what are these???
The vacuum reservoir also holds vacuum for your HVAC controls. You want to keep it.
