Let me down
The old K5 let me down today. I live in Annapolis Md and is was 80 degrees today! I was on my way home windows open cruisin along and it sputtered and quit. I rolled to the side of the road and it was what I thought- a bad fuel pump. Last month in almost the same spot it left me- bad alternator.
I bought it from a gentleman that had it sitting for the last 2 yrs. I expected somethings to go wrong. It has an old HEI init, thinking about ordering a MSD replacement HEI and throwing in! The pic with the top on is the day I went and looked at it and purchased it. The topless pic was taken a couple weeks ago when it was in the 70's. I have driven Sqaure Bodys since the early 90's and I always wanted a K5. |

Re: Let me down
Nice Blazer. It looks like it's in pretty good shape, and I like the color scheme.

Re: Let me down
Nice truck! At least you didn't have to drain and drop the tank to do the fuel pump yet another bonus of owning an old truck!!

Re: Let me down
It is great driving an old truck! Just like you guys said a couple of wrenches, bailing wire and we can't forget...... duct tape!! I drove it in to work today, runs better than it ever has! It must have had low fuel pressure for a while.

Re: Let me down
I had the same problem with mine... acted like it was running out of gas when it was warmed up. Left me stranded a couple of times. It wound up being a bad fuel pump. Nice lookin Blazer you have there... Good luck.
