Help me with my codes Posi traction gear ratio for 1g8010
My suburban is a base model Vin CCE162F117388 307 PS, 3 on tree manual, PB, discs, posi that about it.
Can this tell me the rear axle gear ratio? Model CE10906 Options from glove box 1D2920 Below eye line mirror 1G8010 Posi-traction Axle 152310 Dark Blue 1A1110 Tinted Glass 1F5910 Front Stabilizer 1N4010 Power Steering 166010 Parchment Trim Thanks |

That just tells you it is a possi axle. You need the letters off of the rear axle housing to get the ratio. WES

check the passenger side axle tube....typically along the top....might need a mirror to see it if it's still installed

I think with the 307 engine it would have come with 3.73s stock.

Thanks for the replies. I bet its 3.73 but I'll have to crawl underneath it and spin the tire 1x around and see how many the pinion turns.

It is a low option Sub.
What it lacks in options it makes up for double in rust. I have a Chevelle a little like this sub in options. I couldn't believe it has a posi rear. Must have wanted it for getting around in the Illinois winters. |
