what are some of you running for throttle pedals? my stock styler pedal is junk, it feels like crap. i put a new cable and everything on, i dont really have control with it. like im either idling it or all the way into it. i want to do a morse cable setup so i have a better feel, but i dont know how to mount the pedal.

i want to do something like this.

I don't know if this is acceptable or not, but I made a solid linkage with "all thread" and some heim joints. I'm working on building a toe return on the pedal. I don't have any pics of it, but just imagine the stock linkage completely solid. I covered the "all thread" with 5/16 metal line then bent it how I wanted it. It gave me a very solid feel and complete control over the throttle. I also installed some good return springs.

im either going to do a morse cable or tube with heim joints, but what are you doing for an actual pedal?

I used the stock pedal for now.

a cable is a lot safer. With linkage theres a chance of binding or getting stuck wide openn. Thats why everything in production has a cable. Also if you break a motor mount with a linkage the throttle can be pinned wide open

The Lokars looked great...but they didn't survive my heavy foot. Broke them clean off.
I'm using a roundy round type fire wall mount pedal assembly. Under 30 bucks from Speedway Motors

I am running a factory pedal with a modified arm and a cable. I made my own linkage using a bicycle brake cable. It is adjustable to pick up the slack and adjust pedal height. Probably cost me $10 to make.

OK...it's been so long since I raced the truck I am mistakend about which pedal I used.
This the one I used...I woould use the other style if I do it again.
