72 heater core removal?
Cound'nt find the the place to post this, but i need to replace my heater core
is the procedure here somewhere? 1st post bought a 72 lwb 350 with t/b 350 bodys staight but needs alot of small repairs and paint.I'll post pictures soon as i can. thanks for the help. |

Heater core is accessed from the engine bay. Remove the hoses, and then there are 4 or 5 nuts and bolts holding on the heater box on the passenger side of the firewall.
While you have it off, it would be a good time to buy new seals too. Gary

If its a factory A/C truck, The heater box is under the dash, & will have to be removed.

If only it were that easy! The last nut/bolt is hidden under the inner fender. Drop the inner fender onto the tire to get access. This of course if the heater is non-AC.

I agree also. That last bolt is difficult to get to. I had to take off the passenger side front fender to get at that last bolt. It might be easier to remove the inner fender though.

it does have factory a/c, thanks for the help.great forum i'm sure i'll be
asking for help time to time.I work with backyard 88 and he has been VERY helpful. |
