rally vs. aluminum
I posted a pic of these rims awhile back before and after polish. I ran across a set of 255/70/15’s on Craigslist that are just about shot. I took them off the guys hands and thought it would be fun to compare the aluminum rims to the rally’s. It’s too bad the aluminum rims are not 8”, I think they would look better.

Re: rally vs. aluminum
Aluminum all the way!
Always preferred the aluminum GM rims over the rally ones. The rallys are a dime a dozen so I'm not a fan of them. Don't get me wrong, the rallys look good nice and clean with shiny center caps and beauty rings and the right tire combo, but you asked and my choice is MOSDEF the allys over the rallys... Re: rally vs. aluminum
I prefer the aluminums on your truck over the rally. Since you have such a bright yellow, the rally wheels look dull. The aluminum wheels look much better with the color of the truck.

Re: rally vs. aluminum
You expressed my sentiments exactly. If your going to run an OEM wheel, those alloy wheels rock.

Re: rally vs. aluminum
I don't like the square holes on the rallies...I see plenty of G-vans with those aluminum wheels, although usually they are all scratched and curbed to hell...but I like them better than rallies too...If only they had been made in 7" and 8"....all polished up, they would like very nice.

Re: rally vs. aluminum
The aluminum wheels/white letters rock. I would run those.

Re: rally vs. aluminum
Anybody know a competitive place is to buy the center cap decals? I've seen them from $20-$25ea. I have a few sets of center caps but the decals are Chevy or faded GMC.

Re: rally vs. aluminum
The truck alloys are 7 inch;the van alloys are the 6 inch.No factory 8 inch alloys were made.
If you use 2 inch drop spindles you may have to grind slightly for clearance with the alloys. |
