What size radial ta's?

Hey guys, I really want to put on radial ta's but they dont make them in 235/75r15, What size should I go? I'd like em wider but pretty much the same sidewall height as a 235/75r15. I've got stock 8" rallies on my truck.

lemme know what you think!
Thanks

255-70-15's are what you seek. 235-75-15's are approx 28.87" tall, 255-70's are approx 29" tall.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.

If you want them wider, you cant keep the same sidewall height! try looking at a 245-255/60/15.

Re: What size radial ta's?

Whole lot of it depends. Depending on stock height, lowered and lowered how much and how it was lowered. I went 275/60 and 255/60s on 8" ralleys. Again there are are a lot of what ifs.

Extremely easy to keep the same sidewall height and get wider tires! But not with a 60 series tire.

245/60/15's are only 26.6" tall - shorter than the stock 205/75/15's that came stock on my truck. A 255/60/15 is what I run on my GTO - only 27" tall. Which is a tenth of an inch shorter than what my truck has on it currently (just bought it) - 205/75/15's. I'm getting some 15x8" blasted right now so I can put some 29" tall 255/70/15's on to fill up the wheel wells - both in height (2") and width (2")...

Even a 275/60/15 is only 28" tall.

As already posted, the 235/75/15 is just shy of 29" tall, which means the 255/70/15's are the ticket if you want the same height. And the 255/70/15 wider than the 245/60/15 that was one of your recommendations and is just as wide as the 255/60/15 - 10.1" wide section width.

The width of ANY metric tire is determined by the first number (235, 245, 255, etc) in the tire size.

The second number (60, 70, 75, etc) is the relationship between width and height - the lower the number the shorter the tire.

The last number is the diameter of the rim.
