Cab Mount Question
I just received my cab mount kit (1956) which seems to have several parts that I have never seen before. Does anyone know where I can find a schematic of where things go? Brothers and LMC show the parts but dont show where they go.
Thanks |

Re: Cab Mount Question
Here's a pick from a chevy repair manual. Not the best but the thick body mount goes in the rear and the thin ones go in the front. Hope it helps.

Re: Cab Mount Question
Thanks KIM57. I appreciate it. I have a hard time seeing the pictures. I assume that the big rectangle rubber part is for the rear and the donut rubber is for the front.
Here is the kit I bought: http://www.brotherstrucks.com/prodin...number=CMS5559 |

The donut and the rectangle rubber with the whole in the center is for the rear and the rubber and steel shim is for the front. LOL come to think of it just like in the pic. Last edited by Kabwe; 05-10-2011 at 06:55 PM. |

Re: Cab Mount Question
Kabwes got it right. The thin slotted pieces are for the front. (fig A) Both thick pieces are for the rear. The rectangular one goes between the cab and frame and the round one goes under the frame. (fig B) The "Mounting" paragraphs explain it. Hope this helps. Kim Last edited by Kim57; 05-10-2011 at 07:03 PM. |
