truck radiators rust and engine

i was wondering to use CLR in the radiator or something just the same and run the engine for about 10 mins. then take the hose of the engine a flush the engine and radiator. anybody done this before or has a better idea.

Here are a few diverse opinions on the topic. It looks like main drawback being don’t use CLR if you have aluminum components in the cooling system.
