widest wheel and tire combo for stepside?

looking to put some wiiide wheels and tires on the new whip for the aggressive look. ..even though its anything but aggressive right now. anyway, would a 15x10 fit under the fenders of a stepside without modification?

if its unlowered yes..but they will stick out

look for pics one guy on here has a a pretty tough looking short stepper in red oxide primer with some fat tires on it.

if your gonna lower it no , I barley sqeezed 15x8 raleys undermine ......

6 inch drop and 245/60s just clears....

now mine tubbed with a narrowed diff ...

thanks for the info slammed. do you have any pics of the tubbed bed and narrowed differential? thats essentially what id like to accomplish. but im a little unsure whats involved, and how it looks on the stepsides. what kind of cost are we talking?

With stock ride height you could easily tuck 15x10s in with the proper offset, especially if your using a stock diff. The diff in the gmc is from a late model which is almost two inches wider then stock, and with 15x12s, tires stick out about 3 1/2 inches from the fender edge, too much for me.

I was looking at getting the fenders extended. Brothers trucks sells them, but for close to 900 bucks, I think I'll pass.

i managed to squeez 265 50 15s under mine but like they said without lowering and it is a tight squeez but does clear i personally used the Dunlop GT Qualifiers.

You seem to be the best person to ask, 19GMC63

1. What offset would clear me to run 15x10's on the rear of a Step '66 at stock height.

2. If I were to lower it 3-4 inches all around, would the same setup work?
