Ladder Bars??
Any one running ladder bars on their classic truck? Was looking at ladder bar set my friend has and thought about putting it on my 57 gmc. Any disadvantages? Is the ladder bar and 4 link pretty much the same or are there any major disadvantages from one to the other??

Re: Ladder Bars??
If you are planning to actually drag race the truck an adjustable 4 link gives allows you to tune the rear suspension so the car hooks straight off the line. With ladder bars you have no adjustability.
Ladder bars are basically the same, from a geometry perspective, as the stock suspensions that were used on 60-72 Chevrolet trucks. |

Re: Ladder Bars??
Thats a really nice truck blackdiesel. So how does the truck handle around corners? I read that ladder bars might cause it to try and hop when turning. But also if 60-72 trucks had similar suspension from factory this is probably not true right??

Re: Ladder Bars??
No hop when turning. I like it, it hooks up good. I need to put a sway bar on it front and rear, but it don't do to bad right now.
