Does 59 chevy sheet metal weigh more or less then Camaro sheet metal

I need some opinions I have a 59 chevy with and sbc 400. I put an 80 Camaro Berlinetta clip that had a 305 motor. I am rebuilding the clip now and I have a line on some really cheap new moog springs # 6450. But in my research I find the #6450 in an 80 Camaro they say there only good for a v6 but in a 81 Camaro there good for a v8. So I think the difference is in the weight of the front sheet metal. So the question is does the 59 sheet metal weigh more or less then the 80 Camaro sheet metal?

The sheetmetal weight difference is minimal. What you need to decide is whether you want a soft cushy ride or a firmer performance based ride.
On my 54 I am running the front suspension from a GM G-body car and swapped the front coils out for firmer units using the information on this link:

http://jeffd.50megs.com/Moog_Spring_Page.htm

I choose the 5664 coils and am very happy with them. Firm but not too firm in my application with a V8. The springs you are considering might make your truck feel like it is floating at speed.

Find the specs for the springs you are considering and compare to these specs.
