Re: Custom bumpers
No problem Burt. I go to the store for 4 items and forget three! But honey, I got the beer! Still researching the rear bumper build, but pretty much have a design in mind. Really like yours with a few mods., for my setup.

Re: Custom bumpers
hahah NEVER forget the Beer!!
There is no spare mounted right now cuz I need to get two new studs into my mount. The last of my 1Ton Project changes from 6lug to 8. The gate is secured to the bumper with the eye bolt you see. I welded a big nut on the inside of the bumper. On the gate's bottom you can see I added a foot/pad for the gate to rest on the bumper. I like the eyebolt as I know it is secure and tight. Some of the latches I have seen just didn't seem to be strong. I did NOT want this gate jumping around on me. Anyway Hope this helps with your project! Burt

Re: Custom bumpers
Wow, surprised to see this thread. In my typical fashion, I still don't have a rear bumper fabbed up yet! Hopefully this summer is my summer for major progress. Anybody got any new ideas?

Re: Custom bumpers
Hi there! It's the first time I ever saw this many different attachments and looks for bumpers! Do you guys do this by yourselves? Do you have some step by step tutorials on how to do this?
Thanks! ___________________________________________ Didn't know that.stylintrucks.com/category/exterior/bumpers.aspx"]custom bumpers[/URL] can be works of art. |
