Full airbag 'kits'

Can i buy a full air bag kit from a company or something instead of individual piecing together parts for my truck. I know nothing about air bagging, so i would like to just get a kit and be done with it. Im sure with a kit im looking to spend around 5-6K but im okay with that, unless buying individual pieces is substantially cheaper.

yeah that would be a sweet goal, but not necessarily if the price doesn't fit.

Yes, you can buy a complete "bolt on" kit. There are several companies that offer them, but my experience is Ride Tech offers the best quality. There are several Ride Tech dealers that support this site. Take a look in the Suspension Marketplace or the Vendor Marketplace for deals.

you could also talk with Nate at Porterbuilt who can get you to lay frame for close to the 5-6K mark...or look at the complete frame on here (in the classifieds) with airbag parts for less....

Ride tech has some nice stuff but you are paying for the R&D, the name, and the put together kit
- IMHO...these trucks are easy to put a kit together for and if you talk to Nate and let him know your goals and budget you can get a kit for less.....

If you don't care to lay frame....look into accuair. It's an awesome, well built setup. You can get the full digital controls which are awesome....or save some with paddle controls.
Then you can get front and rear bags, a front bag plate kit, and a rear c-notch (or porterbuilt can put together a kit for you)
You'd probably have 3K or less into that kit not counting any labor.

i dont think you can just buy a "kit" and be done with it. it all depends on how you want to route your setup..etc.

no matter what kit you get, expect to be making trips on things you didnt think of in the beginning.

im still making those trips lol

Ridetech puts together an extremely nice COMPLETE kit which will include everything you need from fittings, hardware, and air lines. really depending on what you are try to achieve you will be between 2000.00- 6800.00 we have a special going on right now in the vendor market place, check it out.

The Ridetech kit for the C-10 trucks is a really nice and totally complete kit. The kit I got had everything I needed. I bought that kit because of the time and effort that this company spends on R&D of there product. Overpriced ? I don't think so. I'm sure there are other good companies and product out there at a lower price and thats great. A company with a good reputation, integrity and quality is always worth buying from.

I definitely don't doubt their quality, R@D, and complete kits. My point is their front end "kit" is over 700 shipped and consists of two air bags, brackets, bumpstops, and two shocks. I got four airbags (D2600 vs firestone), the same brackets, the same bumpstops, and the same two shocks (minus stickers) for 280 shipped (420 less and two more airbags)

i ave to agree with VA72C10 on this one. doesnt seem like you get a whole lot of product for the price. although, they both are good quality companies along with porterbuilt and qualityairride.

Yes, you can buy components from various suppliers and may save some money. That will require you to know exactly what you do, and do not need. I respect your opinions and your point has some validity, but the OP asked about "Full airbag 'kits'".

Not trying to beat a dead horse (insert picture from another thread )

I understand and am by no means a suspension expert. I have some experience on my own but have learned most of the 67-72 specific info on this board from people like you, lolife, Nate, Jon, Scoti, and others. My point for the original poster to consider is someone like Jon, Nate, or Way2Lo2 would be able to put together a complete "kit" for him and still save him hundreds if not thousands of dollars.

He doesn't need to know a thing other than his goals for ride height, type of ride (and any hauling) and how low when aired out. The experts can take it from there....

I would personally be upset if I found out later I could do the exact same thing for a lot less money....(I'm cheap and on a limited budget I've learned to streeeeetch.... )

I worked for Air Ride/Ridetech as sales/tech and warranty for several years and although they are more than most it is worth the money. The front kit is no where near 700.00 shipped it retails for 500.00 plus shipping from them is approx. $25.00-$30.00 is it more than most absolutely but you can save a few bucks and get if from a dealer like myself, porter, or way2lo. You have to remember a quality company has quality employees and quality employees come at a cost but in the end you will recieve better service, better support and a better end product and a company that will stand behind you 100%.
Even now with your kit you purchased for 280.00 if you called Ridetech with a tech question they would help no question. If you call Mysef or Nate you will recieve the same service but again we too are not the cheapest out there. In the end there is a reason for that additional cost.

Remeber the best price doen't always mean the best value...
