I would consider letting my 71 SWB with 2 step beds and 99.9% rust free a/c cab go for 1500.00 (minus engine and tranny)or trade for a 64-72 (2 door) chevelle with a decent body...

Those front wheels sure look familiar. Where is the rust on that thing? I may be interested in it. I am wanting to get a coil sprung swb to bag, and maybe put my engine in it. I thought you were goint to restore that one though. Did you get another one to do, or did you decide to do the 68? Let me know.

it has a small spot on the inside under the visor... but nowhere else. I sold the 68 at Del Mar earlier this year....I'm not itching to get rid of it... but I would like to get something closer to finished...with a backseat and A/C for the little one....

complete to me? hmmm, everything I have... seats out of the 2001, A/C cab w/title, 71 swb engine and all w/ title, 2 doors with the new skins(one skin installed), extra swb step bed(with spare cut out), 72 LWB parts truck(no title), a couple of cowls, L & R front fenders, a crappy hood, the beautiful Lwb fleet bed... and a few other little misc 67-72 chevy truck parts....
$5,500.00 for all of it... I am very attatched to that small block, it is running very well now... |

Is the 71 still together, or have you started to tear it down yet. What stage are you at? 5500 is a bit steep for me all together, but maybe we could work something out, like maybe no engine and no extra LWB bed.

right now I have the bed disassembled and I power washed the back part of the frame, I wire wheeled one frame rail and have put the rust encapsulator and black epoxy paint on. that is it. I have mainly been working on the doors and I was about to start shaving the firewall on the other cab. I finally got an argon/co2 setup for my mig so my welding has improved dramatically....I would go 2500.00 minus the engine and tranny for the 71, the cab, all the door stuff and the interior stuff(seats, new dash pad, new window cranks, door regulators) and all hoods and fenders, cowls that arent attatched to the parts truck... the LWB fleetside bed is on ebay right now anyway... I doubt it will sell but...
but If I sell the 71 I want to sell it all...I have been kicking the idea around for a few weeks and to be honest my heart isnt all into the idea... I do love that truck Last edited by Suicide-D; 07-29-2003 at 10:40 PM. |
