Definately a CVI truck. They were not factory but rather sent off by dealerships, like the conversion vans and subs, and then sold with new warranty. CVI waranteed the body mods and upholstery while GM still waranteed the drivetrain. The body is the only thing modified, the chassis is a stock long bed frame.
Price wise is decent if the only thing wrong is the transmission, unless you think you can build your own for $1800 but Id make sure the ex cab part isnt rotting out
