Hi I'm trying to find a set of 16" 8 lug stock steel CHROME rims....
I'll run them with the stock small GMC hubcaps. I've had No luck finding a set. I have a line on a set of 16 inch 8 lug chrome steel wheels off a late model 2500 Van with caps. Will they fit my 69 GMC K2500 with front drum brakes ?

I've got late model, supposedly 2003 2500 chrome steel wheels on mine, with the front center covers with drum brakes. Mine has the Dana 60 rear, so the back covers won't fit. Been looking for matching doolie caps. No luck. You will need conversion lugnuts to mount the wheel and center covers. Get whatever size to match you trucks lugstuds off e-bay. Mine from Lugnut king. They do move the tires inboard slightly. Good luck. Jim

The van wheels should fit. Ford, Dodge, and Chevy all had the 8 by 6.5" lug pattern for many years. I am running late model 17" Dodge chrome rims with newer Chevy 3/4 ton center caps with conversion lug nuts. They were too far inboard and the 265/70-17 front tires rubbed, so I added 2" spacers and they fit perfect now.

Hey Rick,
It is a good old truck. It spent it's life on a muddy MN. farm and there is a lot of rust on the lower parts. There is still a lot of dried mud in every crevice despite the fact that I pressure washed about 50 pounds of it off already! It runs good and it can still carry a big load when it needs to.

Stricklinator, do you have full floater rear? Did you use spacers on rear if so to get the centers to fit. Thanks.

I used 1.5" spacers all the way around. I have the Eaton HO52, full-floater with coil springs and helpers. At first I just did spacers on the front because the offset was too far inboard and the tires rubbed, but in order to look good and get the centers on the rear, I bought the back set too. I also used spacers with 9/16" lug studs which fit the wheels better than my trucks 1/2" standard ones. I used slightly oversized acorn style lugs (1/2") to bolt on the spacers and the large 9/16" lugs with outer threads for center to bolt on the wheels.

This wasn't my initial plan, but it's what I did after finding the wheels with very nice Michelins on Craigslist for a $100 (the tires cost like $265 each when bought new!!)!
