How much Freon in a Burb with Rear Air
Hey guys , any one know how much a suburban with rear air holds . I know converting to the 134a operates at a higher temp so it will take about 10% less than the r12 .

Re: How much Freon in a Burb with Rear Air
90-91: 84oz and 11 oz oil
89: 60oz and 10 oz oil 88: 84oz and 9 oz oil These are the specs on all of the charts that I have found on the net. Not sure why the 89 model holds less, but like I said, thats what all the charts say. Also, the best way is to get the r12 charge off of the stick on the evap box itself.

Not sure why the lesser amount , if anything my may require as much as 84 oz but I will under fill it due to the high operating temps of the 134a . Thanks again buddy ! greg |

Re: How much Freon in a Burb with Rear Air
Thanks buddy ... I just got her all juiced up , 10 oz of oil , this was a 134 retro fit before , so I just blew everything out and a new dryer ... Were blowing snow ...LOL
I did 6 of the 12 oz cans and that got me were I need to be , I can add a little more once I get the truck on the road . Nice and cool even inside a shop wit the electric fans , should be way better when its getting some real air flowing thru the condenser . I'm just amazed with my missed matched configuration of custom lines and hose's it works ...LOL |
