When I did the swap from 3spd to TH350 auto, I bought a floor shifter kit from Gennie Shifter. Wasn't hard at all. Like posted before, you will remove the linkage from the previous column shift to get it out of the way. With the Gennie kit, I bolted the new hardware onto the trans, put it back in position and marked the underside of the tunnel where the shift lever would now be coming through, pulled the trans back out of the way. Dilled some pilot holes from the bottom to mark the area that needed cut out, then from the inside used a die grinder to connect the dots. Put the trans back in. Attached the shif lever, adjusted the new linkage and was in business. Hope that helps.

Just to add a little some auto floor shifts mount to tranny like stated and some mount to floor.
