oil pressure gauge
what is the pressure range of the gauge in these trucks?
L=? H=? Also, what rpms does a 327 like to run? Where is redline? i don't have a factory tach but have rigged up my engine analyzer to see at what rpms i'm shifting. |

Got 2 gauges on mine (stock & add on) . Comparing to add on the stock gauge reads like this--L=0,middle=30 &H=60.As far as RPM it according to what kind of cam and springs you have as to redline.

I've wrapped mine out to almost 7 grand once, but I was scared as h*ll when I saw that tach needle up there. They'll hold up if you rev them like that once in a while, but I would never want to hold it over 5500 for more than a second or two. 5500 is the stock redline on pretty much all old school non-performance chevy small blocks. |
