Wood to Metal Bed Floor

Has anyone converted their wood floor into an original style metal floor? If so, what all is involved in making the conversion? Details please. Thanks

Re: Wood to Metal Bed Floor

Usually people go the other way - the wood floors are more desireable. If it were me, I would just look for a nice metal floored bed somewhere, they're pretty common.

Re: Wood to Metal Bed Floor

The header panel needs to be changed or modified with the flange 3/4" higher, then the metal floor can be intstalled with its' cross sills after removing the wood cross sills.
