56 gmc master cylinder
I am working on updating my newly purchased 56 gmc. I will be adding a 74 trans am subframe here in the next couple weeks and am looking for options on what master cylinder to use. So... what is it , what did you all use? power or non? firewall or floor? thanks for the input guys.

Re: 56 gmc master cylinder
nice looking truck. Welcome to the site.
I put a 2nd gen Camaro stub under my 57, continued using the stock M/C. Now I'm going to this to get a dual M/C setup. http://www.classicperform.com/Store/...ks/5559MCA.htm |

So non power? what master cylinder do you run? Youve been running the discs with a single cylinder, how does that act? thanks for the info!

Re: 56 gmc master cylinder
I'm running the C4 Vette rear disc and the 2nd gen Camaro front discs with the stock master. It works OK but needs a booster or something. Need to use a little leg to stop fast.
Going to a dual won't change that, same size bore I think. I just want to have a split system where I still have brakes if something goes wrong on one end or the other. |

Re: 56 gmc master cylinder
You know i dont really know. its apretty nice red but than the guy has touched up panels and it doesnt match its kinda orange. I wet sanded the hood and drivers door and the orange cam off real easy like it was a coat or two of enamal. Im pretty sure before spring ill paint it all, and i hate to tell you i think its gonna be dark blue.
