Sil Glyde on Brake Shoes? acutally putting it on shoes?
hey all, ive seen videos on drum rebuilds where the guys put something on the shoes, the part that contacts the inside of the drum. the guy at the auto shop sold me some sil-glyde, silicone based. can i apply this to the hoes themselves? or just the moving parts?

You should put a little lubricant or anti seize at the contact points where the brake shoe contacts the backing plate, but NEVER put any kind of lubricant on the shoes or drums.
