67 4x4 2 inch lift options???
Guys, I am at the point were I need to start planning a new suspension and would like to get 2 inchs to clear my existing tires better. I have serached and have gotten some direction from others on this site. What I have is a 3/4 ton 67 with 72 1/2 axles. I have 2 leafs front and rear. I wish is was easy as ordering a lift kit but due to 67leafs sizes it seems I can't go that direction. Per MGross I can add a helper leaf and a zero rate leaf to gain an inch but what other options are there? I see on LMC that I can add a 3 leaf replacement but not sure if I would get the 2 inches needed to get the tire clearance. I am sure there are other 67's out there that added lifts or new suspensions and would love to hear what was done.
Any input would be appreacted. Don |

Go to a spring shop. They can do anything. You can have springs built or get yours arched to plus 2" and have a new leaf added to keep it there. Some will say springs won't stay up when re-arched. That's a myth. Old springs sag from weight over bumps for thousands of miles causing the steel to relax. They were arched when new and just need it done again. Plus the added "new" spring aids in holding it there.
