block hugger headers
Hello everyone! Have a problem with my block hugger headers not fitting on 52 chevy pickup. Have a mustang II front end and have not welded motor mounts in yet but no room for clearence. Anyone have any suggestions or have a type of header that works? THX Jason

Re: block hugger headers
These are from a '52 chevy, and sometimes you have to cut the frame to get the steering shaft to clear.. using block hugger headers..

Re: block hugger headers
i used a patriot H8065. it doesnt look like it from the picture but there is about 1 inch clearance around the steering shaft.i used the stock frame and a mustang II ifs with no modications. draw back is that they are about $275 uncoated

Re: block hugger headers
well my helper was getting ready to weld the motor mounts and he said that he thinks that if i had block headers that the first and last pipe went behind the two center he would have room.

Re: block hugger headers
Here is a picture of the steering and motor mounts in a '51 suburban, the frame should be the same as your's.. does this give you a better look?
