Re: Look what I got today.

Looks like a deal. If you want to pick it apart it has a 71 or 72 GMC grill and a 67-70 Chevy bumper, but for $500 who cares?

Re: Look what I got today.

I've had 3 67/68 GMCs now in the last few months and all have had that bumper without the cutouts, so I'd say it's a stock bumper. Unless for some odd reason I keep on getting old trucks with swapped out front bumpers hahaha

Re: Look what I got today.

Does the exterior have fresh paint? The exterior looks dull but the interior shiny. Is the exterior shiny too?
Man, that's a solid truck for $500. Would be worth 5 or 6 times that here.

In my opinion it is definitely not a stock bumper. I think all GMC's had the cutouts. I don't think GMC's really matter, the bumper doesn't block the park lights that bad anyway.

I am thinking the 67 and alot of the 68 gmc trucks didn't have the notch in the bumpers for the park lights.

Great buy on the truck!

What I'm wondering is if this was the same Truck posted yesterday (can't be that many in Fresno), that didn't have ANY paperwork?
I'm wondering if the person you bought it from, gave you any explination/story behind what THEY new about its lineage?

Are you going to part it out or resurect it, and if so, hoiw do you plan to handle the "No Paperwork" issue?

I must say, for $500.00 that is a steal, for the condition its in!

Yes, you're right, no notches in the GMC's in the begining years, somebody here on the forum also schooled me.

Haha! I thought so. My uncle and each purchased 68 gmc's for parts in the last couple of months. Bumpers had no notches. He thought they were changed and I thought original. Guess I win
