Hey a local guy that i have known for a while offered to sell me this 87 Step 4x4 for $5000. Its a local truck that has been in my town since new. Has new motor with CARB. Truck Has New 350 Motor With 4,000 Miles On It. Truck Has a 4 Speed Manual Tranny With a Granny Low. It Has New Edelbrock Performer Intake and New Edelbrock 600 cfm Carb. Has a New Holly High Volume Fuel Pump. Truck Has a New Clutch, Has New Ball Joints, New Tie Rod Ends, New Front and Rear Axel Bearings, New Front Axel U-Joints, New Rear Driveshaft U-Joints. Truck Has New Steering Box, New Steering Shaft, New GT Grant Steering Wheel, and New Draglink. It has a 4" suspension lift and 3" body lift riding on 35" Mud Terrains. It needs a little interior work though. I have ridden in it and its real fast and sounds good. I will post pics Let me know if you think $5000 is a good price.

Although it looks like it has a nice paint job, it still looks rough inside. It has a lot of new parts, so that says it had a lot of old and worn parts. Were the new parts installed correctly? Who did the install?
More importantly, what do you want? Is this the type of truck you are looking for? Do you like everything that has been done? You are going to want to make changes anyway, but how many? Would it be cheaper to buy a "clean" stock truck, and fix it up yourself? You have to honest with what you really want. Personally I was really turned off by the interior....

With that interior id try to talk him down. Its pretty dang clean and all the work (if it was done correctly) to the engine/suspension would prolly make it worth your 4000-4500.

Is it factory carb or did he yank the TBI? There's a lot that has to be changed from TBI to carb, make sure it was done right. $5k sounds reasonable if you like the truck enough to pay it, but I'd still try to go lower.
