Floor shifter

Anyone have a floor shifted auto? Thinking of putting one in my 87 when I get the bucket seats in. I kind of like the clean simple look of the lokars, but I've read some don't like the way they shift.

I used to have a Z-gate way back when I had my camaro and I liked that but not sure how it would look in the truck. I also don't want one that requires two hands to get into reverse/park like some of the 'pro' sticks do.

The Lokar shifters are a nice quality piece. Buy nice or buy twice. BTW, Speedway Motors sells a cover that will slip over your existing column and cover up where the factory shifter "stub" is located. Makes your column look like a factory floor shift model. Yes, you do have to grind/cut off the stub then slip on the cover.

The column stub would be a nice addition. Do they shift nice and have decent detents for each gear? I've also been confused on the lengths. Is it the length of the shaft or the height from the base/floor to the top of the knob? They don't have anything specifying on their site. Makes it kind of hard to judge how high it will actually be.

The length of the actual lever is the measurement shown. Several of my street rod friends have Lokar shifters and love them.
