71 motor swap.....and then some..

Ok well I guess its about time to get this started....
I'll be swapping out the 5.3/4l60e and rear end out of my 03 sierra into my 71 c10..

I bought my motor mounts from ECE on tuesday....

Ipulled the motor and trans out tonight ...everythig went pretty smooth

ill post pictures tomo

Is the rear end from the newer trucks approximately the same width so they fit the 67-72 trucks? Post some pics up of your swap. Thanks

The initial post by grease monkey states he is going to use a 2003 rearend. Therefore can any 1999 and up rearend be used with modification in the 1967-1972 trucks. Are the track widths approximately the same?

from what I can find, the 03 rear track width was at 66 inches.
The 64-69 trucks lists the rear track at 60.5

Found a list on the crankshaftcoalition, i just lost the link but you can google it.
