NV4500 with NP203?

Just bought a NP203 for my 72 K20. its mated with a TH350 trans, my truck was a 4 speed before i bought it and the guy who had it before me had put the Th350 floorshift trans in it. My idea is put in a NV4500 trans but still keep my new 203 t-case for it, my question is would all i need to do for a swap is change out adapters on the t-case to mate it all together? ive never done a tranny swap before so im not for sure if the nv4500 gear box would be to long and id have to put in a new floor?? need some advice
