Get your books out, I've got an option question.
Hey gang,
Before I ask my question.........for the first time in over a year, I now have a rolling chasis. One ton axles all the way around!!!!!!! WOO the hell HOO to me, 'cause its been too dam long!!! Now then my question is this. What axles were available for a C30 truck in 67? Eaton, what else? I may have found a cab, but the rear-end has a bearing down in it. So if I can figure out what bearing I need, I may have a cab!!!!! Let me know something when you can. Woah, that shock comment is not true!
In fact, in '67, a 1" diameter shock was standard equipment on all C10 and C20 pickups, a 1.38" diameter shock was standard on in the front on C30s, according to Chevrolet. Maybe I read the comment wrong, and you were just referring to the rear of C30s? I agree with the 'Eaton' (GM corporate 10-bolt) being the only available axle in '67 3/4 and 1-tons. For bearings, etc... try Randy's in WA. The website is www.ring-pinion.com . They are the only ones that didn't scratch their heads in a stupor when I called about my '68s axle. ------------------ Bowen '68 K20 fleet '69 K10 swb fleet '72 C10 lwb step [This message has been edited by ckhd (edited March 26, 2002).]
