Won't move
I just got done re-doing the entire suspension and steering on my 72' K10. Now the truck will not move when I let out on the clutch. The drive shafts still appear to be where they are supposed to be. I don't know if it is the parking brake or not becuase the engine doesn't even think about lugging. If it was the brakes I figure the engine would lug when you let out on the clutch. The truck ran and drove fine before I did the steering and suspension. Any thoughts??? Oh yeah, and the parking brake is pretty jacked up so if any of you know where I can get parking brake cables and such for my 4x4 that would be some great info to have too. all I can find on year one and LMC is C10 stuff.

Re: Won't move
Jack it up and try to turn the wheels, should be able to narrow down the problem from there.

Re: Won't move
engine doesn't lug when clutch is out but not moving? isn't the clutch disc slipping? if the wheels are not moving and clutch is engaged the engine should die. if not and clutch is not smokin, is the transfer in neutral? i'm a little confused. don't know about 72 but I think the 74 c10 and k10 donors i used has the same ebrake setup.

Re: Won't move
Sounds to me like the transfer case is in neutral. Don't just go yanking it in gear though, if you have let the clutch out. The in-put shaft is turning so the gears will grind. Shut it off, put the transmission in neutral and then try to shift the transfer case.

Re: Won't move
check all your clutch linkages. mine did this once. it would run and could put in any combination of gears and wouldnt go. the clutch linkage came off the clutch fork. put it back together and was good to go. see my build thread. it was discussed on there if you need more info

Re: Won't move
It might be in neutral. I dont have a knob on my t-case lever. What is the sequence for 2H, 4h, 4L and N?
