33x12.50-16.5's
I've been scrounging around for 9.75"x16.5" stock 8 lugs to put on my K20. I've found 3 so far very cheap, but I'm afraid by the time I find a 4th and get around to actually doing it, they'll quite making this size tire too. Any input on whether you guys think 16.5's are going to disappear completely?

Maybe not completely, but your choices are extremely limited. You probably don't want to hear this, but I'd go with a 16" wheel. I use 16X6 Ford wheels on mine. Wheels are plentiful and tire choices are, too.

Re: 33x12.50-16.5's
My K20 has 33/12.50s on 16.5x9.75 wheels. I don't have a crystal ball, but I don't think 16.5 tires have much of a future. I'd go with 16x7, or maybe 16x8 depending on the size tire you like (or its intended purpose).

Call your local tire chain store and ask them how many 16.5" tires they have in stock vs. the 16". More choices also mean less $. I also didn't want a "mud bog" tire just to push snow.

I`ve been hearing this for years. There are plenty of Mil surplus one`s around sheap, but they are 36 Bias/37 radial. There is also this company, https://www.treadwright.com/ .Haven`t heard anything bad about them.

Re: 33x12.50-16.5's
Most of the 16.5's have disappeared in the last 2 years. I have plenty of experience with this. I'm running a set of basically new 31x10.5's off CL that someone had sitting in a barn. They were several years old and it was just a fluke. I notice alot of aftermarket wheels on CL in the 10" range. Hopefully there is enough of a market for the 33's and up to keep making them, but who knows what BFG and the rest base their decisions on. Ford has those gray steel 16x8's, but they have too much backset for my taste. The GM steel 8 lugs are too skinny in the 16" range. Somebody makes wide 8 lug steelies in 16's (Stockton?) but they seemed a bit expensive from what I remember.

Re: 33x12.50-16.5's
the larger sizes for the 16.5 will be around due to the off road guys and the ability to get hummer beadlock rims cheap as for 33's who knows

Re: 33x12.50-16.5's
12.50/33s are available. BFGs last forever. If they finally stop making 16.5s like they've been saying for 25 years or so then go to another size where yours where out in 40-50,000 miles.
For a short while BFG ran out of 12.50/33-16.5s,but they have a fresh batch available. Just go to Tire Rack and see...or Ebay. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=483124
