hey guys im thinking about buyin this crew cab for a project tell me what u think and what its worth thanks !!

This is the Ad

1998 Chevy 4x4 Crewcab Dually. 6.5 Turbo/AUTO. Engine uses water so I parked it and bought a Cummins, tired of looking at it. Inside is worn, dirty. Has hail damage, but no rust. Put about $1200 worth of new parts on it before its problem. So make me an offer. If its too low, I'll keep the wheels and tires and you can have the rest.

Looks like it's been road hard and put up wet, I wouldn't want to guess without seeing in person how bad it really is......

It does say "make me an offer. If its too low, I'll keep the wheels and tires and you can HAVE the rest". THAT sounds like a good deal to me.

i would give you almost 3000 does it run or will it aleast start and drive. not like drive far just u know just drive.

If you were going to find a truck as this one..... Buy cheap enough so your 'repairs' total below the book price?

($1,200.00 spent by the seller doesn't go far on a truck as this)

I'd inspect the expensive areas first, like brake system, transmission / drivetrain, fuel system, suspension, and computer / ignition/dash components.

Tally up the estimate and consider if it's worth it.

Oh, yea..... paint..... (not critical, but worth to also barter)

see i honestly dont care about the motor iv got a 6.5 just sitting in the back the truck is real rouph its a 95 model good motor just realy realy bad body

I don't think he's selling it...he's planning on buying it so he is asking opinions on what he should pay..

hey guys thanks for the replys and i have found out that he wants 1800 for it with tires and wheels and 1500 with out tires and whels i think ill just buy it and sell the wheels and tires and the dullay fenders cause i want to make it a single wheel axle

also he said hes not sure the heads might be cracked ? he said they can be fixed without removing them ??????? i never herd such a thing lol ??????

hey guys i havent bought it yet ive been doing research and i was wandering can u make a dullay a single wheels axle ? with out swqping out the axle ?

I am getting the feeling you aren't looking at the right truck within your requirements.

You can check out used fleet trucks... etc..... Then add to that truck, verses 'taking away" from this truck you are looking at.
