Go for that single color look and paint it all the same color. I have seen some trucks at shows done this way and they look kind of cool. You could also go with chevy blue as an engine color. It wont be stock for the year but it is a stock color.

you can't go wrong with chevy orange but some ppl paint the motor same color as the truck. If you are paint ing the innerfenders to match the truck it might be to much of the same color. Purple inner fenders and a silver metalic motor would look good imo

I was thinking silver would look pretty good with the purple inner fenders. Was thinking of using one of the Engine enamels from POR-15. Anyone have any expierence using this product??

I asked this question earlier, but I lost track of it:

Does anybody know when they used Orange and when they used Orange-Red??

Personally I like engines to be painted black with lots of chrome. Body matching is always nice too.

Maybe purple block and heads, and yellow accents?

Palallin: Orange was smallblock and reddish-orange was bigblock.
Blazergal: I painted my C30 purple over white, and under the hood the firewall was white bedliner, the cowl was purple, the inner FENDERS were purple, and the wheelwells were white bedliner, all surrounding the orange-disguised Cadillac 509. My unupdated link shows the freshly painted cab.

I'm not big on the chevy orange - only because that is what most people around here run. Saw the pic from sevend2 and thought it was mine for a minute, it's almost identicle. I like Grabber Green but my wife griped too much so I went for the blue. Black looks good but if you have to work under the hood in low light conditions it is horrible. My opinion only.
