took it on a maiden voyage yesterday to bremerton wa. to the drags.only problems i found in the shake down were a leaky poly tank and a plugged fuel filter. the best 1/4 mile time i had was a 14.41 at 92.73 miles per hour.

Johns70,
Very SWEET truck!! Best way I found to fix those leaky poly tanks is to send them back to where you bought it and buy a steel one!! Truck looks real good.

thank you for all the compliments.
about time i got the painting figured out ,if i could paint like randy it would have been done at the beginning of summer. thank you again for the compliments guys. now the wife will ride around in it and be more willing to let me buy stuff for it.

thanks again

yeah no emblems i smoothed it over a little, no stake pockets, fuel fill, side emblems, and of the hood emblem.
the only thing still original is the hood and glove box door, frame and rear axle, but all the panels are factory panels the only new sheet metal is repro rockers, 30 yr old take off tailgate and a nos front bed panel, every thing else was donated from other trucks.

i'd like to do some ghost flames one of these days and maybe some engine emblems air brushed on the side of the fenders.

do you have headers? uncap the exhaust is a good way to shave some time. plus some slicks or real soft tires but those soft tires really get chewed up.
