Camaro spindle help!!
I installed a 77 camaro subframe on my 58 apache and recently bought a impala ss disc brake rear end. My problem is the camaro spindles have the 5 x 4 3/4 bolt pattern and the impala rear has the 5 x 5. Is there any way to convert the front spindles to the 5 x 5 bolt pattern? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: Camaro spindle help!!
Prob easier to change rear end spacing unless you somehow find a hub with 5 on 5 spacing and there aren't any that I know of.

Re: Camaro spindle help!!
Yes you can, late 70s early 80s GM full size cars & especially wagons had 5X5
with 12" rotors. You will need to also utilize the spindles & bearings. Another definite doner is 77-79 Caddy Seville pretty much an F/body subframe with 12" 5X5 spindles. |

Re: Camaro spindle help!!
Good to know. I have some expensive wheels from a '92 silverado I would like to use on my '59. I was thinking of going with the Kimbridge front clip that uses the G-body and S-10 suspension. I was wondering if I could swap Astro or B-body spindles onto those A-frames?

Re: Camaro spindle help!!
1977-1981 full size cars have the 11"-5x5 configuration. No mods should be needed.

Re: Camaro spindle help!!
You still have to watch some of those as there were a few GM big cars in those years that had 5 on 4-3/4 bolt pattern. The quick way to tell if they aren't metric is that the ones with 7/16 studs will be 5 0n 4-3/4 and the ones with 1/2 inch studs will be 5 on 5.
