Re: longbed or shortbed
I gotta go yep/yep on this question. I've long been an advocate of the longbed and have somewhat recently been pulled to the shortbed side(not entirely, I straddle the fence). I'll never be without a long cuz I need it to haul 16 foot lumber, but for a dropped street toy, its a shorty for me. I will always get others opinions(as you have)cuz it has helped me see the light many times in the past, but go with what YOU want in the end. Nobody's right and nobody's wrong on this topic. We've all seen what the shortbeds can look like(awesome), and with these pics that SK posted, we all see what a well done long can be. Anyone who doesnt like that blue/green longbed with flames needs a trip to the eye doc. You will make the right decision... but, all that cutting and fabbing is too much work for me. I would make it what it came out of the factory as. This is why I have a longbed that I will keep forever and I'm looking for a shorty. Just another opinion. Tim

Re: longbed or shortbed
My rule of thumb is this-What do women want?
.02 seconds later your decision should be LONGbed |

Re: longbed or shortbed
I say Long bed all the way...heres the thing i bought Kat(my truck) with the intentions of cutting the frame and making it a 67 gmc shortbed but then decided it was to cool of a truck to hack up so I embraced it..and personally i think nothing looks more bad ass than a slammed longbed ..they look like beasts...but you know opinions are like !@@#$(%$ lol. Heres a before and now of my baby

There's more than a billion bucks in it if you can REALLY figure that out.

Re: longbed or shortbed
If I may steal a quote that someone on here once said "everyone wants a short bed until they go to Home Depot." Unfortunatly I do not remember the author.
