So I ordered a drop member for my blazer and I was wondering for those you guys running one is, since the crossmember narrows the track width can you make turns with the tire and wheel still tucked in the fender.

I am running a 15x7 wheel with a 235/60/15 tire with like a 3.5" backspacing. Later, on I'd like to run a 20x8 wheel with a 255/35/20 and a 4.5" backspacing. However, I don't want to have to air the truck up to the point it looks like a donk when I drive down the road.

You will be able to turn lock-to-lock at ride height (~6"), tires/whels tucked, without airing up 'donk style'. The trade off here is that the rack & pinion doesn't turn as tight as your current box, so the wheels don't contact the fenders...

When I drove it down the block with my son this is where we had the ride height.

Looks great! Kinda makes me want to give up on my shortbox project and use all the goodies on my blazer instead

To tell you the truth, it has crossed my mind before. If I didn't have such an emotional attachment to the shortbox, it was my first vehicle. It would probably already be underway

. Luckily my blazer is quite low. Eventually I will go a little more extreme.

This is where I'm driving at the moment, you have to be careful turning sharp corners or it will "touch" the fender. I have driven it lower but at this height I can drive it without to many worries. Hope this helps you....

Thanks.. That gives me alot to think about and maybe going with a larger diameter wheel.

The ones I have are 20x8.5 with a 255/40/20 it's 28 inches tall.

It rides awesome! I don't know the PSI, I'm using AccuAir and the system doesn't use gauges.
