I rebuilt my TH350 last summer. I'm still having some problems with it shifting into 3rd. I think it has something to do with the vacuum. The kit ran about $120 (full rebuild kit), the sprag was distroyed - $20 for a used one, Case had a crack - $125 for core, Case needed some machine work & hot tanking - $110, new torque converter $80, & a few various other expenses. I think all said, the rebuild cost me $480. A rebuilt tranny at the local parts store was $535 and it comes with a warranty. Needless to say, I think I just buy a rebuilt next time. The only good things that came out of it, I got intimate with the insides of a TH350 and I got a "K" case (heavier aluminum for 4x4) rather than just a converted 2wd case.
