brake issue on 65 conversion

i just changed from drums to disc. used early classic drop spindels, replaced ball joints.
but adding my brake booster and Mc theres a rod issue. the rod for the old MC is alot longer than the rod for the brake booster.
any idea on how every one does this
ill post pic if needed
thank you

Re: brake issue on 65 conversion

Dont have pics but some weld to proper length. I used A mc from a 76 c10 and used an adjusting nut to lengthen the pushrod. Same principal as tie rods. An adjusting sleve turned one way will spread the tie rods apart and pull them in when reversed.

Re: brake issue on 65 conversion

Wow thats a huge difference. Is it posible to use your original pushrod and just lengthen it? If the mc is a universal type there may be adaptors for proper length. Srry couldnt be of much help

My mom always had the best advice. It was just a tad late. After a fall that involved blood, she'd say....."Careful!"

If not there is that place right on the other side of the freeway on charter next to taco bell has all kinds of stuff like that. I think it's called j and m or something. It's a farmers hardware store. Has a lot of goodies.
